Garden Site Leader

WITH WINNIPEG WILDFLOWER PROJECT

Summary

We are trying to find a Site Leader for each of the gardens we have in Winnipeg. During our volunteer nights, site directors would essentially be present at the garden a few evenings each month to check on the garden, assist with weeding and site maintenance, and give instructions to volunteers who come out. The project coordinator will provide training and instruction, but the major tasks will be weeding and seed collection.

The garden locations we are looking for Site Leaders are:

- Bishop Grandin Greenway at St. Mary's

- Transcona Trail at Plessis Ave

- Sir John Franklin Park along Wellington Crescent

Please state the garden you are interested in leading when applying.

Required skills:

- Ability to kneel and remove weeds, willingness to learn, enjoyment of nature, good written and verbal communication abilities

Time commitment:

A typical time commitment would be 4-5 hours a month (Evening), while additional hours are always welcome.

Must also be able to commit to the role for the remainder of the 2023 season (July to September)

Age restriction: 18+
